Nick works at the Science and Maps reference desk at the BYU library.
He's in charge of turning on the giant spinning globe, among other things.

This lovely Christmas break he gets the pleasure of working 30 hours in three days: 8-6 yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The thing is -- there's no one here! (To be accurate: there are quite a few employees, limited amounts of alumni who bring there kids to see the globe, a guy studying for the BAR, and this random kid we think was playing Starcraft) But mostly it's empty, like everyone got eaten by zombies!

As I have nothing better to do I've been hanging out at the library, procrastinating writing Thank You cards. This morning I slept for a few hours under these desks

I think all of Nick's hard work is getting to him though. At lunch today he was trying to talk about this symbol: "&" but he came up with "amphetamine" before he finally got "ampersand." Needless to say, I was confused for a few minutes.
